<center><h1>*Once Upon A Time in Hollywood*</h1></center>

I don't find myself getting **_hyped_** for too many movies anymore. It seems for the most part, Hollywood, and it's stars, belong to a bygone era. Most of the stuff that ends up on the big screen struggles to compete with the likes of Netflix, Youtube and Facebook, et al. .. A fight over shorter and shorter attention spans. However, when a director like Quentin Tarantino puts his stamp on something, it tends to win that battle for my awareness.

Tarantino is very reserved in his craft. He only releases a film once every three or four years. I take this as a sign that he'll only get involved if he can be meticulous with every nook and cranny of the production. The result is a, *usually*, golden piece of cinematography.  Sure, some of his flicks have been less than stellar, *Death Proof* was for a very niche audience, and not many critics were fond of his last film, *The Hateful Eight*. Still, a filmography that includes *Reservoir Dogs*, *Pulp Fiction* & *Kill Bill vol. 1* (not to mention the cult classic, *True Romance*), He's got a pretty good batting average.

So when I heard that he has a new film coming out this summer.. yeah, I was pretty *pumped*!

*Once Upon A Time in Hollywood* is set in Tinseltown circa 1969. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio as washed up actor, Rick Dalton, and Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth, Rick's long-time stunt-double/best-friend. The beleaguered duo do their best to stay relevant during the final years of Hollywood's golden age. 

This is Tarantino's 9th, and supposedly *penultimate*, film. Since it's set in the 60's in LA, it's sure to pack a lot of Tarantino's hallmark sex, gore, violence and profanity. It also hosts a star-studded ensemble cast, with Al Pacino, Kurt Russel, Dakota Fanning, Emile Hirsch and Luke Perry all making an appearance. It's actually *Luke Perry's final role*, R.I.P...

*Once Upon A Time in Hollywood* is currently premiering in the Cannes Film Festival, with global theatrical release slated for late summer *(July - US, August -UK)*. And from the reviews pouring in right now, it looks to be an instant classic!

I just hope it's not [dubbed over](https://steemit.com/movies/@striderpunk/the-dubbing-debate) when it reaches Thailand..
