# My thoughts on this news
This was a record breaking hurricane for the Florida panhandle, it increased to a category 4 when it hit Florida with wind speeds at 155mph.  Strongest hurricane to ever hit the Florida panhandle and 3rd strongest hurricane to ever hit the USA.  You can see from the video footage the absolute destruction it left behind.  These are the types of hurricanes we can expect in the future as global temperatures increase, as the temperature of ocean water increases so does the intensity of these hurricanes.  The question for humans living on the coast becomes, how often and how many times are you willing to rebuild?  Another one of these hurricanes could pop up next week or maybe in a few years and sea level rise is also slowly taking the land.  We are living at a time when in a not so distant future many people will be forced to leave their homes because of climate change.
