Don’t they deserve our respect? So to start with, I would like to point out that our initial training is not complete. We are taught to respect our elders but that’s not enough. We should respect every other being on this planet. It could be a friend, a kid, a servant or a pet. Each one of us deserve respect. Respect is not bound by age or caste or species. Respect has to be earned and it is apparently the hardest thing to earn. Our deeds, our actions, our words decide how much respect we deserve. If you are creating nuisance in your society, no one will respect you, if you are doing inappropriate actions, no one will trust you. So in order to be respected, your actions should be such. _Also, when we say being respected is our basic right, respecting others is also our basic responsibility. If you want people to respect you, you need to respect them as well. You need to respect others and then is when you get it yourself. Nothing in life comes easy.*** _So just think again. If you feel disrespectful, analyse whether you have disrespected that person on some or the other way._ It might be not the case everytime but if at all it is, we can correct it and fulfill our responsibilities towards being a civic citizen.
