So here we are in another #piratesunday and I thought I would share this true story from 1789.  Though Captain Bligh was not a pirate, however,  he had to act with an iron fist to keep his crew alive during his EPIC journey.

As for the radio show [Suspense](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspense_(radio_drama)), it ran from 1942-1962 on a weekly basis.  Shows were roughly 30 minutes long and were aired LIVE.  I was turned onto this show when I lived in Bellingham, WA in the early '90s, the local radio station would play 2 episodes once a week late at night and I was hooked.  

Although I do not wish I had lived back then I do enjoy pretending I am back in time, in a living room in the '50s, sitting around the RADIO with a cocktail in my hand, listening, just listening, to this show.

I do still listen to these shows and I still love them.  I also love the vintage advertisements that are part of the experience.  If you do listen I would recommend not doing something else while listening.  Just turn off all stuff, grab a cocktail and stare out the window while the players transport you to another time and place.
