# **Story Recap - Week 5**
> After following the mysterious group through the woods and coming across an abandoned miner's cave, you enter in to find a strange woman performing some sort of mystical seance in the dark.
> 
> She prompts you to sit down and join her. You do. Perhaps, though, you would have thought twice about it if you knew that she would then grab your arm and slit your skin open from elbow to wrist.
> 
> Without much pain, the blood pours out of your arm as you yourself pour out of reality. Your world fades to black.
> 
> When you awake again, you are in an almost colorless world, full of dead foliage, laying in a lake of mysterious glowing water.
> 
> You stand up and observe your surroundings. When you hear some rummaging coming from nearby bushes, you go investigate.
> 
> As you get closer to the commotion, however, you are frozen in your tracks. A wild looking eye pears out from the bramble and explains to you, in a somewhat annoying high-pitch voice, that because it doesn't know who you are, it therefore cannot trust you to come any closer to it.
> 
> You attempt to calm the creature's worries by explaining that you are friendly, but it practically ignores your response and instead remarks about you being on some sort of "quest".
> 
> It then rushes off, faster than you can believe, into the distance.

# **Weekly Prize-Pool Winner**
We are happy to award adventurer @hhayweaver this week with the prize-pool! Congratulations!

# **NOVEMBER UPDATES!**
So, November is finally upon us. This is the month I kept alluding to in regards to bringing some cool updates to **One Year RPG**. Well, everything is thankfully still on course to making that true.

First off, the new website should be done by mid-November. With it, I'll also be launching a mobile-app. This will be modeled straight off the newly designed website and will act as a sort of "companion" service for **One Year RPG** down the line. But, first things first, it just needs to be completed :)

Secondly, some really cool things are happening behind the scenes here at **One Year RPG**. This little experimental play-by-post game is about to get much bigger, much better, and much more exciting. This has less to do with the current campaign itself, and more surrounding the overall platform / framework. I'm excited to not be so cryptic about this soon. *Within a week, 2 at most!*

Thirdly, another **big-ass** thank you to all of our adventurers! The engagement on the posts is wonderful to see, and I'm happy to report that we are up in numbers from last week. With an average of 8 players per post, we're officially growing! I do hope that all of the November updates will also help in increasing these stats. I've got a feeling we will at least get a nice little bump ;)

So, thanks again for playing. Watch out for all the goodies dropping this November, and stay tuned for next week's recap because I'll be dedicating this "extra-info" section to 2 very important topics. One is something tangible for you all to enjoy, another is a very important question that requires feedback.
