Just Above The Cloudy Heaven

Heaven can be interpreted as many ways as possible on each other’s perspectives. But for a traveler in the pearl of Indian ocean, you will not have many to compete when you see the cloud cover beneath you in great “Sri pada mountain.”

This photo was taken at late 2019 when it was off-season for the Adam’s peak travel or pilgrimage. I would certainly wish to post a more detailed report on Adam’s peak on off-season but could not resist posting this photo with a little description for now.

“Sri Pada” or Adam’s peak is Sri Lanka’s fifth highest peak and possesses one of the most precious historical sight of the island, the footprint of lord Buddha. The more matured people take it more of a pilgrimage while the youngsters try to make it a perfect travel. Typical youngsters! 😋

After a hard climb of several hours if you find yourself at the top when the sun rises, you will see one of the most iconic and glamourous views that you will not forget for a lifetime. One thing is the sun rising above the clouds which you cannot see in below land.

Not to mention the strong cold, the other is cloud cover beneath making you feel that you are indeed closer to the heaven.

before I wrap up, Have you ever seen the shadow of a mountain on clouds? Does that even sound sense? Or else, can you imagine how it could be? Well, no need to think hard, just be there at the top when the sun rises, and you will see that magical thing.
