<p>Today for the third time a steemian took notice of my username "<strong>@surpassinggoogle</strong>. <strong>@mindhunter </strong>saw it asked what it was about!</p>
<p>Yes, there is history behind that username. I have always wanted to change how the internet works! The internet is inanimate thus, i expect it to be fair etc However, it literally tells you to scram off for being from certain IP locations. Especially, people resident in developing countries have to deal with this unclassifiable form of racism lol.</p>
<p>&nbsp;Many opportunities online are simply not built for the rest of the world. You want to do a regular blog post on blogger.com and you are wondering; <strong>"since my IP address is Philippines and my audience is in USA, do i use a VPN"</strong>; but then you think; <strong>"the search engines must have algorithms to identify VPN-made IP addresses"</strong>, then you think; <strong>"let me talk to my friend in USA, so that he can publish my post from USA".</strong>&nbsp;</p>
<p>You would think in this same line, when you want to upload a YouTube video. You have been working for ages uploading YouTube videos and not getting any views; can this be another IP issue and the simple answer is<strong> YES</strong>.</p>
<p>Search engine algorithms use IP address as one criteria for determining the relevance and maybe even quality of a post. This becomes a very deterring factor for the "<strong>Steve Jobs"</strong> in developing countries as they have turned to the INTERNET to at least have the luxury of a <strong>level-playing field</strong>. They don't have the means or travel VISA to visit an enabling environment, so they turn to the internet which holds all races.&nbsp;</p>
<p>It is so heartbreaking when you do ages of researches and finally find some information online to foot your cause, only to be told after signing up, that the opportunity is not open to people from your IP address. You want to do a Kickstarter and you simply can't find your country on there. You want to use Coinbase or Paypal and your IP address is exempted.<strong> These a dream killers!</strong></p>
<p>You are looking for <strong>a team</strong>; which is an integral part of making dreams happen, then you find a potential like-minded person on Facebook and you do a<strong> harmless friend request </strong>and Facebook suspends your Facebook account, because your IP address is in Philippines for instance and you added up someone in USA.</p>
<p><strong>Again these are dream killers!</strong></p>
<p>Some people turn to the internet to feel like a citizen, like all others; only to find out the internet itself can have preferences based on location. Some IP addresses are just simply blocked.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have always wanted to adjust the way the internet works and using google as standard, i was going to surpass it and gift humanity with an INTERNET that celebrates them. All my years on the INTERNET hasn't been rewarding and a lot of that, had to do with my IP address!</p>
<p>Before steemit, i haven't experienced any rewards from close to 2 decades of being online. I have had more than 100 YouTube videos and i have experimented with different formats of videos, just to see how i can SEO them enough to get some views but nothing ever worked. My total YouTube earnings has stayed at around $34 and you have to get to 100 dollars, for google.com to send you a cheque.&nbsp;</p>
<p>To beat the no-traffic issue with my YouTube experience, i have thought to myself; "so what if i made one million videos and have each one, generate <strong>1 view</strong>!" Yes. that is only possible but only if i became super-bot. Then i started to look for apps or software that can automate video creation based on a script you provide etc&nbsp;</p>
<p>In general, the inequality on the internet is something i have wanted to change. The internet does tell you to scram off for IP reasons and this shatters dreams. Just when you feel you are close to breakthrough, in your online journey and you get signed up and ready to go, only to find out the opportunity isn't open to your IP address.&nbsp;</p>
<h1>Social Community</h1>
<p>I used to be on a social community where every Indian was seen as a potential spammer. And gosh, INDIA holds great talents and dreamers. It is painful to watch!&nbsp;</p>
<p>Even here on steemit, some people are mistaken and call out other steemians who leave short comments as <strong>spammers</strong>. I saw an <strong>@andrianna</strong> for instance on steemit, who does great art work and you need to see her comments and they are all short and mostly in these words; <strong>"good job"</strong>; but does this mean she is a bot or spammer or can it likely mean that she has difficulty with English?&nbsp;</p>
<p>Check again before you burst into pronouncing others spammers. Keep going through <strong>@andrianna</strong> comments and you will notice that when she gets to comment in Russian, her comments are lengthy.&nbsp;</p>
<h2><em><strong>And just if these people are spammers; who said there is no room for spammers?</strong></em></h2>
<p>Who likes to hear the word<strong> "banned"</strong> these days. It is becoming a turn off! I was made a community manager once, on a social platform with a tipping model that started in 2016 and today, i can't even remembered the name of that platform but i remember why i turned away and left it. It was because of the words; <strong>"You have been banned"</strong>. I mean, when you are simply novice and don't know what actions to take and <strong>you are banned</strong> without loving warning, then it makes no sense.</p>
<p>Remember, how this all started. Gmail and many email providers have some room for <strong>"spam".&nbsp;</strong></p>
<blockquote><strong>At the very least, one can eat the spam!</strong></blockquote>
<p>Yes just like Saul's fanaticism <strong>(Saul in the bible, who persecuted Christians)</strong> was softened and his passion turned into a valid cause, <strong>spammers</strong> can be good for something or at least their passion, if channeled aright.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Why instantly shut out spammers, that is old-school!</strong>&nbsp;Many of these people are just innocent and perhaps, novice and simply need to be lovingly directed.</p>
<p><strong>This is were steemit came in!</strong> Steemit is becoming close to <strong>world peace</strong> on the internet. It is modeled to teach and keep everyone in good behavior.&nbsp;It values reputation over IP locations and gives everyone a fair chance at having their content seen. <strong>Spammers</strong> have been converted to good use as a result. <strong>@cheetah</strong> has evolved into a very loving and educational bot and love and peace is eventually holding sway! The luxury steemit offers can be found no where else on today's internet!&nbsp;</p>
<p>In my social network in the near future, there will be many interesting features and much use for even internet users who love to spam. Words like <strong>"banned",</strong> will be banned and a <strong>gamification</strong> set up, so that <strong>'words'</strong> that can constitute abuse, can be playfully submitted into a buffer, so that they become <strong>impossible to spell or type out</strong>. This is the idea that formed the base of <a href="https://steemit.com/steemit/@surpassinggoogle/unmean-stweets-began-and-it-is-a-steemit-giving-and-receive-party"><strong>unMEAN sTWEETs!</strong></a></p>
<p><strong>Hahaha, this is just my brain farting!&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>Steemit has done wonders. I came here and found steemit holding the keys to a new internet. An internet re-shaped by loving great minds and modeled to keep behavior in check and promote love. This is a luxury, especially today! <strong>@ned</strong> and <strong>@dan</strong>, i will continue to marvel at the people that you are!</p>

I love your initiative and your dream to make the internet equal for all.  I have been a contributor to sites that banned countries like Philippines and India because of SPAM, but also because the site's infrastructure and payment schedule was based on their ad revenue - a model which led to their demise because it was never sustainable even with blocking those countries!
So, cheers to Steemit and cheers to you @surpassinggoogle - for being an advocate for all.

Back when I was a teacher, I always noticed that some students don't speak up even when they have the right answers because they don't want to sound stupid. It's like that for comments too sometimes. Some steemians are learning English as a second language, some are shy and some are just amazed by a post but don't know what to say about it other than 'Wow!'. There's room for all types of responses so I try to give people the benefit of the doubt before deciding that they're bots. Great name btw!
