Do not worry about anything; rather, on every occasion, with prayer and petition, present your petitions to God and give thanks. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 6-7.

Sitting in front of me, her face red from tears and her voice choked with pain, she asked me in a lament. Where can I find peace? Their marriage was in ruins, about to collapse, their children came and went, from the home of the uncles to the grandparents, without physical or emotional stability. She, on the other hand, also went from one place to another, while carrying her pain. At that moment I did not know what to say; I lost the Lord to give me some answer, but nothing happened. God's plan was different.

Those who provide peace is not the absence of problems and difficulties, but rather the attitude we have in front of all this. The mental confusion that produces a crisis, could make us fall into a chaos genralizado. When the faculties physical, emotional and spiritual, are disturbed, we could very well reach the limit of our capacity for resistance.

Now, after having been able to reflect for a long time on all of the above, I have an answer to the question that this woman asked me, and that I did not know how to give her in her moment. We can only find peace in God, and it will flourish in our interior, in spite of the problems we face at a certain moment. Our Lord Jesus Christ left us a special message about it. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world does. coward (John 14:27)

Our foundation resides in the power of God and in his desire to grant us permanent and constant protection. To receive the peace of God, we must first ask for it with faith and remain quiet so that he can act. If we move, if we stir, we run the risk of ignoring the divine will and making decisions contrary to what he has prepared for us. Well the psalmist tells us: keep quiet, recognize that I am God (Ps 46:10)

No matter the dictates, God will not give peace.
