Great shots, it's great that you could see them in their native habitat!

A year or so ago I've watched a documentary about Galapagos (I think it was on Netflix). I was mesmerized by the Galapagos' fauna!

They all look so incredible! Whenever I hear about Galapagos I just instantly think of the tortoises. All the reptiles seem so cool.

Wow, those are cool! I'd like to spend a little time there with my camera, although I'd probably get bitten and wind up on the hospital... It's amazing how many different types there are, and they all have very different coloration. Very nice photography, too.

Lizards are neat. They're like little dinosaurs. The second picture is my favourite. He's really enjoying that rock.

I think, but I'm not sure, that our orangeish friend(s) is/are *[Conolophus subcristatus](http://reptile-database.reptarium.cz/species?genus=Conolophus&species=subcristatus)*.  There's another similar-looking species called *[Conolophus pallidus](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conolophus_pallidus)*, the *pallidus* part meaning "pale"-- but we can clearly see the dark colouring on the back which is characteristic of *C. subcristatus*.

Note that I'm not an expert on reptiles. I just believe strongly in [Cunningham's Law](https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cunningham%27s_Law). If I'm wrong, someone will be along shortly enough to tell you what it *really* is.

There's a really great episode on Netflix  ...blue planet 2 i think that shows the big lizards up top.  The craziest bit is that they swim.

Their skins and shells are so unique.   Do they all walk on their bellies or do some stand?   Thanks for sharing the photos.

They look like the Komodo dragons of Indonesia especially those on the rocks, but I bet they're not as dangerous. Your parents are also good photographers :)

Although I miss Gizmo's obligatory pic here, I find the Tortoise cute too :)

Those are great shots! In real life they really freak me out, but on screen they're a wonder to look at. What was your entry point to Galapagos? Ecuador? I've been meaning to travel there, and I hope I would be able to in the near future.

Reptiles are beautiful and terrible at the same time.

I've always wanted to visit the Galapagos Islands. When I do go, I'd definitely keep an eye out for this beauty!

What a Beautiful creature, i have seen smaller ones similar to these in pet stores for reptiles, but never any such as these.  I owned a turtle once named Henry, haha i liked the turtle image you chose for your post! Keep up the excellent content and Steem-on! @sykochica
