There are moments in our life that were so difficult that we would like to forget them, but the more we try, the more they seem to cling to us, causing us to feel so bad that we could even get sick. To analyze the situation with a cold mind, to be able to see everything from another perspective. The idea is not to try to escape from these thoughts, but rather to face them and do what is necessary to feel at peace.

To begin with, we must find the appropriate time and space to address this situation. Then let's try to relax a little, because when we feel bad our body tenses up and our thoughts become cloudy; we can practice some relaxation technique, such as breathing or meditation, laughing also works, even if we don't feel like it. Negotiating with our emotions is important, so we have to give them their rightful place.

We have to keep in mind that our mind tends to maximize the facts, making us panic, worsening the crisis, so sometimes it is good to talk to someone we trust, who may be able to make us see reason and show us things from another point of view. The support and empathy they can give us can make us feel better and make us realize that not everything is as terrible as it seems.

A phrase that I always keep in mind, because it really leaves my cyclical thoughts without resources is: "If things have a solution, why worry? And if they don't, why worry?" It makes so much sense that it makes me realize how much time I have wasted in unnecessary anguish, when all we have to do is to do what is within our reach.

That is why it is enough to try to keep our minds fresh, go for a walk, take a breath of fresh air, or distract ourselves in something that pleases us, to disconnect a little from what is tormenting us and be in the capacity to take up again the subject at hand, this time with more openness.

They say that a good way to get rid of our negative thoughts is to replace them with positive ones. There are things that we already know that upset us and that are recurrent, then we can program ourselves to bring to our mind something pleasant to neutralize that moment. Let's keep in mind that it is not at all productive to give wind to that thing that overwhelms us so much, because it does not take us anywhere and it is not resolved in that way. If we use the time in things that we like, such as reading, practicing sports, crafts, we will surely feel better.

At the end of the day, it seems that time and a good attitude are the perfect combination to overcome any setbacks that life may have in store for us, let's keep in mind that it is something that will always be on the menu and that they are nothing more than tests that make us grow. So let's just take the teaching and make the difficulties tools to build the future we want.
