What Does Self Confidence Mean?
A very common reason for failure in life is the "limiting belief" problem. This is where you are so certain of yourself that you limit your potential by holding to a view of yourself that is false or doesn't fit with how things really work in the world. If you are open to new ideas, you will be able to make the most of life. Here are some simple ways to challenge your limiting beliefs.

First, examine your self-talk. Do you talk to yourself as though you are bad or inadequate? Or do you talk to yourself like someone else? There is a difference. When you speak to yourself as if you are bad or inadequate, this tells your subconscious that you have negative thoughts about your capabilities or your life in general.

This negativity is passed down to us from our parents and other elders in our family. So how do we change the way we think? What is it we can do to change our existing beliefs so that they no longer hold us back? Well, here is a few thoughts that I have come up with: We must become more positive. If we want to change the way we look at life, then we must work on becoming more positive.

We must stop thinking negatively. A lot of us tend to think negative. I've heard many people say that they can't do something because they'll think about what their opponent will say or what the weatherman is saying. When we think negative, we make our lives harder.

People who are positive are easier to be around and have more options. You don't have to fear being rejected by other people or being embarrassed for having the wrong opinion. If you're positive in every aspect of your life, you will attract more positive energy and this will create a positive self-esteem. If you're always thinking that you are a little bit different than everybody else, you will feel insecure and this may lead to depression.

In order to build your self-esteem, try to do good deeds for others. It can be very rewarding to do things like cleaning out someone's apartment or helping someone with their car. If you can give them positive feedback, this will build their self-esteem as well. The more you do these types of good deeds in your life, the more of a presence you will make, and you will be perceived as being more helpful.

The more help that you can give someone who needs it, the more of a presence you will become. So start doing some self-esteem building for yourself right now. Tell your friends that you would love to do one of those good deeds for them, but that you just don't know how. Ask them to help you out or volunteer for something with your loved ones. Help others by doing just one of these things and you'll be much more confident. The more that you do those small deeds, the better the feeling inside that makes people feel good about themselves.

Don't buy into all of the false beliefs that are out there today about being successful. If you believe that money will make you happy, you're going to be disappointed. It's not going to. If you believe that people who are successful have a lot of money, you are wrong. Again, it's not about money. It's about starting a business, having the desire to succeed and the ability to overcome obstacles.

The one thing that you must remember if you want to feel good about yourself is this: YOU ARE the CEO of your life! You are the one who determines your destiny. You have the power to decide what happens in your life. When you make decisions that are in your best interest, other people will respect you more and they will be more likely to follow your lead. This does not only apply in your personal life but in your business life as well.
