He trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1900, was a painter of alcurnia, in addition to a sculptor, illustrator, set designer and engraver, the greatest legacy he left was to be a co-founder of the Cubist current along with his colleague and friend Picasso revolutionizing in the world Of art. He explored Cubism from a theme of still life, something that was seen a lot in the works of Cezane, who influenced him a lot in the painting. The ambition to continue experimenting led them to perceive the manageability and expression that the materials conferred if they were united in a harmonious way, opening the way to collage.

<code>Violin and jug (1910)</code>

It is very interesting to observe the way in which the ideas were transformed to turn them into something tangible and that would cause much repercussion, under an analytical cubism as can be seen in one of his first works, he manages the essence of the object, a synthesis that forced the viewer to gather the pieces to complement the figure of what he was looking to portray, is a very geometric work where the image causes a strong visual impact due to its radicality where the line and the tips of each shape causes a penetrating force within the composition as if it could feel and touch each of them protruding from the picture, with a fairly simple color gamut so that the look is not distracted from what the protagonist really has in the work of art.
By 1912 he retires along with Picasso in the south of France where they begin to experiment with scraps of newspaper or magazine, as well as textured paper glued on canvas, to which he adds pictorial materials with charcoal or paint denominating synthetic cubism, in fact, Picasso expressed in a letter the following: “I am using your latest methods with glued paper and dust. I'm in the process of imagining a guitar using some sand against our horrible fabric.” Enhancing the taste and research on the material to be used inside or as a work of art by itself, something that later would be taken seriously by the artists who would develop within the collage, assembly and installation.

<code>Still life with table: Gillete</code>

The handling of the lights and shadows generated by the charcoal in a beautiful gradient is complemented perfectly with the lines and the geometry of the background, the gray scale allows a great contrast to the earth colors generated by the scraps of the texture of paper wood, the yellowed newspaper with the words on it highlighting the brand gillete, and the one with the largest size of a burgundy color, the use of newspapers or magazines with the words printed on it connotes an approximation to what would be the line that Duchamp wanted to erase between life and art.

<code>'L’Oiseau noir et l’oiseau blanc', 1960</code>

<div class="text-justify">

Piece of a series of pigeons that Braque made, demonstrates a transition where the line softened incredibly, this happened in the works he made after going to the First World War where he almost lost his life, the need to calm the violence of everything he lived, calming the memory through the simplicity between the elements and the colors. This work shows the black and white silhouette of two pigeons that lean diagonally in front of each other, creating a contrast with the pastel pink and orange colors that are perceived in the background, a beautiful way to show as a Artwork is capable of changing, maturing and enduring in life depending on the lived experiences of each artist.
