You know, the hairdryer, the washing machine, the curling iron. If it could be unscrewed and you could see inside, I’d take it apart. I was also fascinated by the things that were spinning. Like the clothes dryer, the bike wheels, and you’d spin the wheels and stare at them.</p> <p>I remember my dad coming home after work, going into the closet and taking out some discs that were in his cardboard case and taking those black discs into a wooden box in the living room. And I would put that black record inside this machine and sound would come out. I found that very intriguing.</p> <p>So when I found out how sound worked, I was going to the backyards to look for amps and trays, to look for receivers, to take capacitors of resistors, diodes, transformers of some to put in others and try to put that together. And I found my speakers in abandoned cars. I didn’t really like the sound, but we enjoyed it". And I got the fever from all that.</p> <p>You know, Flash was very smart, almost scientific.</p> <p>He had ideas on how to mix these discs perfectly and that led to a research and development process that was key to his perfecting of his technique".
