It is a joke without humor that the new accounts don't have enough Bandwidth to write posts and comment freely, and that it is the dolphins and other minnows loaning out Steem Power to allow these members to interact.

All this, and I see orcas and whales telling 'us' not to complain about the situation over the other side of the wall.

Bidbots in my mind are a huge problem. If you can’t “earn” votes and you have the $$ just buy them. That is a piss poor model. Is the trending page really the voice of the people on Steemit? Or are the posts just there because they bought their way there? One would say, “you gotta have money to make money.” I guess that is the way Steemit is headed.

In which it seems like the whales are actually losing the % of VP available, while minnows are increasing their stake % as a "class". 

But I do agree that with more users and more content it would get difficult to be noticed, especially if the trends towards delegating to bid bots also continues...

Your words perfectly understand the feeling of being new on this platform, and as you say, for the new ones it's like a Facebook.
While this community has brilliant minds, many new members like me come here to try to get new income to help us in our lives.
For new users it is very difficult to stand out and get notoriety, and often it can be frustrating or discouraging to be here, to dedicate time, love and effort in exchange for nothing, if you understand me?
In the same way I have noticed that the users with greater power, influences and time in the platform usually forget what it is to be new, forget that they also started from below and then they turn their backs on the minorities.
I'm glad to know that someone like you still thinks of us.By the way, if it's not too much trouble I wanted to invite you to read my posts. Hello tarazkp. It is a sad state of affairs when new people will never be able to get going. There is no future if that is the case. I am struggling my arse off to get going before others arrive. I am doing it the right way with no short cuts and reading articles that interest me. Must say there is a lot of crap and articles that shouldn't even be considered as a posting. Most of us who know what is going on in the world see the news and papers and can't believe some of them get posted here a week later. I suppose you are not meant to read them as they are for bots only. Will keep upvoting even though it isn't worth anything. Bit like it is the thought that counts lol.

You are right in what you say ... I recommend to Steemit several relatives who published and made several comments and since they never earned 1 cent in 2 weeks, they all left Steemit ... here it is very difficult to arise do not have support from another user that has the resources.

I have gotten several people onboarded and and they are all mostly musicians and have actually done very well here!!  I do see the problem with bidbots but as long as that option exists people will use it!

All that you say is sadly true and, even sadder, nobody seems interested in finding a solution. Some of the people in charge around here should look around and see there's some competition, still in the budding stage, but growing.

This is quite a dire situation, thousands are joining Steemit every day - sadly most of them from places with low levels of income. How will this affect the platform?

At some point the whale are going to have to wake up and realize that as long as they keep hogging all the rewards to themselves, people are going to get frustrated and give up. The system as it is now does *not* allow for people to easily make any kind of meaningful progress. If enough people leave, Steem won't have value. Its value exists because people want it. If there's no one around to want it, then the whales will have drained it dry. Doesn't seem that smart to me. Long-term they're going to be much better off by helping other succeed. 

I applaud your continuing efforts to engage users here on the problems that you see. I have followed you most of my short time here as you make sense on the issues of buying visibility. As I have been outspoken on the need for bots when I first engaged with you regarding this, I still maintain that for most bot purchases, it is the bot owner who is making the money here, not the vote purchaser. Perhaps this dynamic changes for those spending hundreds of sbd, but on the smaller scale of 1-2 sbd I have found it to overall be a loss.

The proof of this is in the diminishing amount of posts that I have made. Not that I have ever been posting a lot, but it has dwindled to the point last week I made two posts. One I did because one of my followers/people I follow tagged me in a challenge, the other to wrap up an ongoing journal I was writing to give closure to it. The truth is if I was making a profit from these bots, or actually gaining followers who engaged from my increased visibility in Hot, I would continue building. But the truth is, there is nothing to build with that dynamic except the bot whales increased wealth.

I remember when I first read of vote bots. I researched extensively as they have something similar in the world of self publishing, only you jeopardize your publishing accounts when caught. Because in most venues this behavior is not tolerated. You can only imagine my surprise when I saw not only was it tolerated, but encouraged by many of the most powerful accounts on Steemit, many being witnesses. 

The fact is that no beginner coming here without a huge following will make anything worth the time to post anything of real value as a post. As an example, I did a series on how to make money in non traditional ways. One small segment of it was on how to sell on Amazon FBA. I took information from my published book (that I have since unpublished due to much of the information being outdated now). The fact is while it was published that book earned me close to $2000.00. Here it was worth .40 sbd, of which I got 3/4ths of that and pretty much paid votebots to give it back to me. Out of the 9 votes it received, discounting my own now from the 9, it received 3 real votes. I have listed methods to obtain merchandise, where to sell merchandise outlining the exact methods in this series I have used for years and it has been met with crickets for the most part once the vote bots have been accounted for. 

Now one could argue that my content has little value, however much of what I shared on inventory procurement and sales have never been published by me, and could have earned me thousands had I self published it instead of posting it here. Please understand none of this is whining, it is merely me discussing the hard facts of how this platform runs.

If I do not buy votes, my engagement is limited to the few people I have interacted with that was initiated by me voting and replying on THEIR posts. And here lies the secret for anyone new coming on board here that plans on building anything of significance. 

Forget about posting, chances are no one will see it in the 30 seconds it is visible on the new list. The odds of the few who do relating to the title/post decreases even further the odds someone will click on it. All new people will do better spending their first weeks and months finding people of like mind/interest and engaging their posts and the people who are commenting on those posts, as you likely have similar interests with them as well. 

There is an alternative to the vote bots, and that is for people to realize that for the most part they are not a profit, rarely get the eyes you want on your writing and only exacerbates the issues that in the long run will probably be the demise of this experiment known as Steemit.

SteemIt, a blockchain social media experiment, is only 2 years old. Over that time the nature of human behavior without regulation has revealed itself. 
Greed is leading the masses. 
Philanthropic behavior from those who hold the Steem Power, could, but probably won't, change the environment. 
Code change could change the environment, but that is unlikely at this point.  IMO code change is the best hope for SteemIt. One option would be cutting the reward pool pie onto pieces and dedicating those pieces to separate communities. Redistributing control of the reward pool into smaller pools. Individual members of communities could have more influence. Similar to state rights inside a central government.
Pain is also a major vehicle for changing human behavior.  If the result of this experiment is the loss of value of Steem, perhaps major Steem Power holders will then change their behavior. 
Perhaps users will simply leave the SteemIt platform leaving only whales holding and collecting more of their valueless  coin. 
There is very little attachment of payout to quality, yet there are no restrictions on posting quality content.
The experiment continues.

I think that we all can agree that Steemit isn't perfect in this matter. It is hard to get noticed and it will keep this way. But with hard work I do think that it is still feasible. But I do share your concerns.
All the bot that out a lot of interaction and this is what it should be about. Steem can't be a social media platform without interaction. People are just to much focused on the value part and not about the interaction part. 
Some people even just comment, to get an upvote or to get noticed. I don't know if there are a cry for help or just some kind of tactic to get an upvote.
Still, I am enjoying myself here. But the frequency of posting of some of the Steemians I follow, is decreasing. Giving less opportunities of starting an interaction! Also the post in the new tag are decreasing.
