Wow - such a simple concept, yet overlooked by many. This will break the stranglehold of the banks. This really shows how these technologies have a massive potential for successful re-distribution of wealth, without detriment to anyone, other than perhaps the controllers.

really the banks are robbing people that is why here in Africa people dig holes and keep money there  than  being deducted almost 2% monthly for account maintainance

We in North America oversee this being an issue but itbis because we used to being banked and the markets moving us towards this digitalization.  For us, it is a normal evolution of what already exists. Unfortunately, for almost 2 billion people in the world this is not a reality.  The unbanked are mostly disconnected given the hurdles out in their way to participate in any type of monetary system.  While most of us look at Crypto for making or saving money mostly, they just look at it at a necessary step to improve their wellbeing in everything from security to healthcare to education.  We are sometime selfish in thinking this is only for us whereas the world is much bigger and in need.  Great post!

Yes, I agree that one of the main advantages of cryptocurrency is the speed and ease with which money can pass from one area of the planet to another.  Without bankers getting in the way.

Just like the Lightnight Network is a blueprint for off-chain transactions and Casper is a blueprint from switching from POW to POS, I hope that Venezuela becomes a blueprint for other countries to switch to the blockchain.  

The Petro is a disaster, but if the people reject it and trust Bitcoin (like they have been doing) we may see some amazing things happen for that country.

Powerfull overview and certainly an issue not actually realized in the "west". Still an issue remains, as people will need to be able to change back their crypto for fiat, and at that point - again - the will need a bank account... Certainly the crpyto infrastructure is something that needs to unfold. 

After BTC reducing its transactions cost we can be even more proud and confident to say that sending money is another advantage that cryptocurrencies offer, between so many.

Btw is it me or 11,2% is incredibly high for transacting money? Of course it had to be the banks with the biggest percentage...
