I fully agree with you. One thing that I would like to see is Steem being integrated with tools such as **Disqus**. That would be a game changer.

Also, we need a bit more flexibility in here. I am trying to find a way of creating **Multiple Choice Polls** to include in some of my posts and so far, that option isn't available, at all.

**DPoll** is interesting but it doesn't allow for Multiple Choices. 😶

This is a much better concept then trying to get people to come to and stay in steemit.. Being able to bring the crypto transition to sites that already have a bunch of traffic is a game changer!

Part of the problem could be the wrong kind of marketing. Steem should never be marketed as some kind of get rich scheme. Instead it should be marketed as a social media/content platform that gives all participants their cut financially as opposed to regular social medias where the users effectively donate their time and effort to the company owning it. Whatever little anyone earns here is still much better than absolutely nothing.

I think we are well on our way as improved user interfaces that include mobile phone options are quickly being developed and will lead to more adoption of the Steem ecosystem as more people get involved and start to spread the word.

I love reading your posts. You are a visionary. It is always hard for some to see the vision of the  future.

I think the shift you mentioned is absolutely necessary. It is very difficult to change user behavior to get them to go to you. It’s much easier to go to where they are. 

Customer acquisition costs and lifetime customer value are crucial variables in consumer business models. When the customer acquisition cost is too high the model falls apart. Business pay money or offer steep discounts to change user behavior and create a new habit of using their products.

To the doubters I say give Steem 15 minutes a day.  The time it takes to play one video game or read one lengthy news article.  Submit one article to the community and write two or three comments on someone else's article.  Be sure to up vote and resteem people who write quality content.  If Steem takes off in the next year or two you will have set the stage for long term passive income.  If Steem fails to reach critical mass or gets beat out by another platform what have you lost?  You gained all kinds of incite from reading other posts and you have improved your own writing skills.  You do not lose either way.  The chance for Steem to go parabolic looks pretty good.  I also suggest you mute the chronic complainers and the virulent racists.  It makes for a much more positive experience on Steem.  Good luck everybody!!

Sooo much "cutting edge", that isn't.
The masses have the latest television.

I can imagine people who have had one of each, although i stopped caring about TV and have never owned anything but a tube set.

And today the iPhone X-10i super-duper model is coming out... and it is the same as the last one.

Cutting edge?  Nope.

The cutting edge is happening only in the imagination.
You really have to know something to understand that steem is different that blogger.

The same with cryptos.  It is just a completely different paradigm... but when you look at just the surface, it is almost identical to using a CC.

I am just waiting for the sheep to find out that the money in the bank is not theirs.

These are my feelings exactly. When I hear people complaining constantly aout Steem, I feel like, "Can you not see what we're sitting on?" Nobody knows this even exists, and we're already deeply ingrained. Once people learn that they can do exactly what they spend a large chunk of their time doing now, except get paid for it??? We'll all be sitting pretty, and a whole new wave of opportunity will be opened up for us early adopters.

I live in a very rural area and the interesting thing about this place (upstate NY) is that the old ways are coming back.  The Amish are here in full force and they don't use electronics.  Bitcoin is pretty much a non-starter for them.  While they do accept USD, I wonder what they will use when that is dead.  They are well positioned too because all of the Amish farms around here produce everything themselves.

So I suspect that a different economy will be coming here as well for those of us not involved in crypto.  If you live in a western country (dominated by the five eyes), when national fiat goes belly up, there will be this transition period where internet may be spotty at best.  One still needs to be physically prepared for this transition.
