The *27 Club* is one of those that nobody plans on joining. Shocking, isn't it? All that amazing talent painted on those walls and at the height of their popularity. 

Such an amazing feat, painting a mural of this size and using this method. The East Side will never be the same. Did you see his Michael Jackson one in the East Village?

I admire and am impressed with the small details that you share here about NYC. I am like you in the way that I could never see enough and spent countless hours after work, wandering the streets, curious to explore such a fascinating place.

Believe it or not, people that live there haven't seen half of what you have. I am serious!

Another amazing post, highlighting the big and small details of the city that never sleeps. Thank you for sharing this amazing piece of Street Art!

Thank you for sharing those pieces of art.  It is always sad when anyone dies young but for sure it hurts a lot of people who enjoy that music.

I *love* this post @tattoodjay, although the content is so sad!  I've always been intrigued by the 27 club; it's so weird when you think of it, and includes such impressive artists...many of my favorites!

I'm submitting this post to c-squared; hopefully they stop by to show their appreciation as well.  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing all of those photos. I'm glad you got those individual shots so we can see the detail! Those are some wonderful murals! What a shame that all of those musicians died so young!

Their path was like this sentence : It's better to burn out than fade away

I loved most of them, like Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix, they had great characters and personalities, something free and simple kind of life that I could see in them.

It feels sad for us who are alive right now, but its not as bad as dying alone and old in a bed, they died when they were shining.

What a beautiful art and thank you for sharing about the 27 Club which I have not heard about before.

Wow, these are some of the coolest paintings I've seen yet.  I love the memorial mural idea, so crazy how many musicians died so young.

@tattoodjay Great musicians at the height of their performances. Yes, we know the 27 Club and the shocks of their early departures. Great pictures! I'm a big fan of all 4 of them and I think these murals do them great honor. They look amazing, you've captured them well on photograph as well.
