 Asha Khemka of a small town in Bihar, did not have the knowledge of English for 25 years of her life, but today she has changed the lives of thousands of English students today. At present, Asha Khemka is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Principal of West Nottinghamshire College, UK's renowned college. He has been honored with 'Asian Business Woman of the Year'. Asha Khemka has proved this fact that if you desire with full conviction in the mind, then no obstacle can anybody. She says, "I can not express my passion about education and this passion is increasing every day. I feel very proud to be part of this spectacular field. Asha Khemka was born on October 21, 1951 in a business family in Sitamarhi district of Bihar. And she had to leave his studies only at the age of 13. One day, suddenly, the people told her to wear sari and get ready. Some people are coming to see her for marriage for which she was not ready but she got engaged at the age of 15. Her husband Shankar Lal Khemka was then studying medicine, and is Britain's famous Orthopedic Surgeon today. In 1978, Asha Khemka came to England with her husband and three children. When she came to England, there was no knowledge of English. His education was not anything special. She came here and stayed for many years in his house. She started learning and improving her English. When the children grew up, she again started her studies. Then she got a business degree from Cardiff University and after that she stepped in to the field of teaching. In 2006, she became the Principal of West Nottingham College. This college is one of England's largest colleges. Asha Khemka is also the chairperson of 'Association of Colleges in India'. She has a charitable trust 'The Inspire and Achieve Foundation' The aim of this trust is to help the youth of the age group of 16 to 24 years to help shape their future, who are deprived of education, employment and they do not have any training. She has won many awards and honors for his outstanding contributions in the field of education. In 2013, he has been honored with one of Britain's highest civilian honor, 'Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire'. This honor is considered as a 'knighthood' title for women. This is the highest British honor for women. Asha is the only other woman to get this honor. Maharani Lakshmi Devi was the first Indian woman to receive this honor.
