Exploring the Adriatic Sea #4 - Kotor

Hello Steemians!

It's been a long time since we last communicated in this form. I've been doing most of my work behind the scenes, curating and discovering quality content. I did not completely abandon you guys. Hopefully, I'll get to interact more with you personally in the time to come.

I'll start by sharing my experience from visit to Kotor, Montenegro as a part of my summer road trip.

Kotor, one of the best preserved medieval towns in that part of the Mediterranean, is located at the very end of the Gulf of Kotor. On the one side surrounded by the sea, and on the other side by the Mount Lovcen, the town represents a centuries-old connection between the Mediterranean and the Balkan.

The city has changed many authorities in its long history. All these frequent state-political changes have left indelible marks in the life of the city and its cultural and historical monuments. Given that throughout its long history the city belonged to Venice, which left a big mark on the city's architecture: small squares as well as narrow and curvy streets.
Surrounded by walls, the most famous part of Kotor is the old town, where historical and cultural values are preserved.

The Gulf of Kotor, one of the longest and deepest gulfs of the Adriatic Sea, with its beauty and vastness, is one of the most attractive parts of the Mediterranean for tourists.

It was a gloomy day when we decided to visit this place. But neither clouds nor cold water could stop us to feel nature's beauty offered by the Gulf of Kotor.

In my opinion, one of best views in Montenegro is on old road on Budva to Kotor, when you are high n Lovcen slope. Amazing view. However, road is a little bit scary ;)
