 One consequence of monoculture is that our eating habits have become very boring. Only ten percent of the crops produced in the United States in the last century have survived. Approximately 7,000 species of apples were produced in the eighteenth century, and today only 100 species of apples are produced. Consumers consider their interests to produce, so we have to eat. If we say that we are now dependent on them, it will not be exaggerated. Another advantage of monoculture is that it increases the risk of crop failure. Once a few grains are attacked by germs, then one plant will be infected first, then the whole firm will be infected with the disease and then in other pharmacological areas. To overcome these many difficulties, agricultural scientists should study the genetic properties of 'Landrace' so that they find a gene that helps the plants to stay free from decontamination. However, in addition to infection of the disease, climate change can have a negative impact on the crop. There is still some time in our hands to change the current 'monoculture' movement. Farmers mentioned earlier popularized the 'Landrace' method. Now if we do not have the initiative to bring a little change in our eating habits through this work, then the current farming industry will be forced to produce according to our needs. But if we do not take any action so quickly, then we will have to face our huge problems soon.
