Life Without Internet

# Hey Steemians :)

Yup, this picture pretty sums it up. Yesterday, my Monday was Truelly one of those where I could completely relate to Garfield and why he hates Mondays. My morning schedule goes like this, wake up, move like a ninja through the room so not to wake my baby, switch on the kettle, make myself a nice cup of coffee, go sit outside, and what used to be Facebook, go on Steemit. 

But noooo!! Telkom decided to ruin my day and bugger up the lines causing me not to have WiFi. And mobile data is so expensive here in South Africa, I didn't bother buying any and I need to keep whatever airtime I have for emergencies. 

The day felt  long, did whatever I normally do throughout my day, but everything felt out of place still.

Ever noticed you check out your phone more often when you actually know you don't have data? 

This left me wondering, how did I grow up without internet? It didn't exist when I was a little girl, and later on my grandparents didn't have a use for it, so I only started using the internet on a more full-time basis after I finished school, but now my day feels so out of place without it.

What will happen to society if there should be a day without internet?

Chaos and Distruction! And the next day will be Global Relief Day!

Ok enough venting. 

I really missed Steemit, feels like it has been a week, but it's only Wednesday tomorrow. 

# How am I online now?

Well, hubby is working late so we decided to take the family with to the office...

my son missed his online cartoons, he usually watches his favorites after we had finished with homeschool.

You mean to say there was life before the Internet??? I cannot even remember that, although I did grow up in the times you speak of.
Joking aside, I now how frustrating life without wi-fi can be! Hope you'll be back online soon!

Ah days with out the internet... I live in Alaska and run off satellite internet. When the weather is bad we can not go online. Very annoying!

I can understand your frustration! The internet is so useful but it's also annoying how dependent we have become to it.
