What is happening with Steem price

We all love steemit and want to see it touching the sky. I am a relatively a new user and don't know much about steem. For some days I have been following the price of steem coin but for last two days it is not behaving in its regular manner.

Why it has moved around 10% in last 24 hours.

If you take a look on coinmarketcap's chart and price it is down to $1.06 from $1.18. 
Do you know the reason? 

I don't know why it is performing this way the only thing I can see is bitcoin is performing really well and steem is going down.

Why this is happening man, it is making me nervous.

keep calm @theafroguy volatility is happening across the board in cryptos, even those more established than steem! it is only natural whilst still in it's infancy.

Thanks for your reply alexmavor. Yeah I know about the volatility and it is part of game but even then it was just making me a bit worried.
