 While I did have to work this morning, it was only for a few hours and I had the whole afternoon free! For once in a long time I had a free weekend day, and something nearby to do! The stars were truly aligned... ✨  There were all sorts of things going on, and I really didn't know what to expect. I had never been to anything like this before, so it was a completely new experience for me, a very welcome treat!  Along with the obvious comic books for sale, there were also a ton of other "nerd" wares on offer. Movie posters, plushes, keychains, stickers... I myself wasn't really planning on buying anything, but I actually did because I found some cool items that will make some good Christmas gifts 😊  Like i said, there was a lot of stuff you could buy, and this was probably my favorite cool little thing I saw. Pikachu dressed as Mario, how cool?!  Outside of the main convention building, there was an outdoor Mideaval area with a fighting area off to the side of that. It was actually really entertaining to watch, and I got some video clips (now that I have my new phone I actually have the space to do so! My old iPhone 5s only had 16Gb... 😞). I'm going to try to edit them together and maybe post the video to Dtube.  There was even more funny stuff for sale outside in the Medieval area, like this unusual hats. There were also knives, swords, axes, all sorts of weaponry really. It was a smaller area so not nearly as much to look at.  The smaller area in the building out back had a small area devoted to artist, and a "games" area where people were playing video games, tabletop games, and for some reason, with light sabers... NERD ALERT 🚨 😂  Back in the main area there was of course a large assortment of anime figurines on display for sale. I've always thought this things were kind of strange, but they seemed to draw quite the crowd. There really were a lot of them, but none that I recognized, though I don't really watch a whole lot of anime, let alone keep current with all the new shows.  This booth was perhaps the coolest thing I saw there today. Painted canvases with cool backdrops to beaded pixel art! My brother used to make these bead picture things of video game characters to use as ornaments for his Christmas tree one year.  Of course, it couldn't be a comic con without at least one furry, could it? It wasn't until I was leaving though that I saw him of course, lol.  After all that I came to hang out with friends and pizza of course 🙄. All in all, it was a pretty good Saturday! Until next time...
