Yeah I know I know, it's not Saturday night but I was just itching to share another one of my favorite groups from the Saturday night jukebox.
I consider myself lucky that I have a real appreciation for classic music. You really don't hear young people listen to classics from the 50's, 60's and 70's much at all. I always used to go to parties lots while I was growing up and no one would ever want to enjoy this great music, unless the person who the party was for was an older person who grew up with the classics.
Quite often when I would be at a  friends party I would always have a good chat with their parents, I always enjoyed chatting with them. Quite often the topic of music would come up and how they don't enjoy what their children listened to, and I usually found myself hanging out listening to the classics with my friends parents for a while.
It was a really good way to connect with my friends parents, but I always had to cut the time I spent with them short as I was there to see my friend lol.

I think it's kind of sad that some people will refuse to listen to great classic music, growing up I thought it was much better to be a trend setter rather than a sheep.
I was always a real jokester growing up so quite often just to stir the pot I would chuck on a classic song at a party, only because I knew I would be yelled at and told I'm not allowed near the stereo lol.
However one or two of my good mates would try and back me up.
It used to make me laugh because it was like the end of the world for some people, but I tell you what, there is only so many times you can hear rapture by IIO before you go mad. The chicks would chuck it on like 10 times. I swear no wonder why I used to get blind drunk at parties.

Had some really fun times though.

The classics never die, but they can be forgotten and sometimes your introduced to something you absolutely love.

# ☠️ The Mamas & Papas ☠️

The Mamas & Papas are another one of my favorite groups from the Saturday night jukebox.
I love the harmonies that the group were able to produce, they really blended well together and Mama Cass had an amazing voice.
The Mamas & Papas are an American rock group who performed only for a few years but produced many great tracks. Consisting of four members, Cass Elliot, Michelle Philips, Denny Doherty and John Philips The Mamas & Papas have produced many hits which have topped the charts.

From Wikipedia:
> he Mamas & the Papas released a total of five studio albums and seventeen singles over a four-year period, six of which made the Billboard top ten, and have sold close to 40 million records worldwide. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 for their contributions to the music industry. The band reunited briefly to record the album People Like Us in 1971, but had ceased touring and performing by that time.

The Mamas and Papas produced some great hits, so I encourage you to check out more of their music. I'm just listing a few of my absolute favorites :)

# ☠️ California Dreaming ☠️
&nbsp;
California Dreaming is my favorite song by The Mamas & Papas and would probably be their most well known track they recorded.
The harmony of this song is just amazing, another one of the true classics.
This song is on the list of Rolling Stone's 500 greatest songs of all time.
I love listening to this song during winter time, I find it's very up lifting and makes me think about the warmer weather of the summer time.

# ☠️ I Saw Her Again ☠️

I really love this track from The Mamas & Papas, it has a real feel good feeling to it and reminds me of when you fall in love with someone who you have just recently met. I think we can all relate to this although the lyrics kind of tell a different story.
This song is another regular from the Saturday night jukebox, they always play feel good songs like this that you can party to.

Here is another song I really love from The Mamas & Papas.
I love the way this song describes how the band came together, and what they were doing before they formed their group The Mamas & Papas.
I like the rhythm that this song has, which is rather unique.
The groups sounds really good together and produce that amazing harmony they were so good at.

# ☠️ Monday Monday ☠️

Here is another really popular song from The Mamas & Papas. Another one of my favorite songs and the radio station here in Adelaide that plays the jukebox will normally chuck this song on during a Monday morning.
First thing Monday morning I must say it's a real struggle to get ready for work, but as soon as I start listening to the classics everything gets better.
It's amazing how much listening to these great songs can change your day. Next thing I know I'm bopping my head side to side.
