# <center>INTRODUCTION</center>

Salutation everyone here in this community. It is yet a new week for the trending contest on the steemit platform, Steemit Engagement Challenge. I am glad to be here to make my entry on this contest. This is the most interesting contest for me out of the contests from the seven communities involved in the challenge. 

Creating contents to post on steemit is actually not an easy job. So many newbies who couldn't cope with the stress and give much of their time to do this quit after few weeks of joining steemit. With all the time and effort needed to create content here, one still has many other personal matters to attend to each day. For me, it has been tasking and at the same time challenging but I have remained active because the platform is legit and paying. My inspiration to keep been active was gotten from a fact of life; **nothing good comes easy.**

### <center>HOW MANY HOURS I SPEND ON STEEMIT IN THE LAST WEEK</center>

Steemit has become one of the social platforms I cannot do without visiting in a day. In fact in an interval of two hours, I must check steemit to see what the new update is, the notifications or the new contests available to write or the messages I need to reply, etc. All that I stated above do not take much time when compared with creating a content in the posting page of the platform using all the necessary markdowns. 

Before I delve into the breakdown of the hours I have spent on steemit, I let me talk about how I manage my day or time each day. 

First and foremost, I am a crypto trader and a blogger (steemit made me one). So I spend larger part of my time doing market analysis and creating contents. Aside from these works where I get the money to pay my bills, I do other stuffs. I cook, clean, wash, cash fun, watch movies, see football matches and some times go out to church and other places. 

Since joining steemit, I have learnt to manage my time and I have found the best time my brain works best. Because writing on steemit is a brain work and therefore requires high level of concentration, I create my content in the night hour when I am able to thing well to create the best content. In times I felt too tired to wake up at night, during the day, I always find time to create my content and in most cases, this is usually the early hours of the day. Any slight distractions  a can make me lose concentration and delay my work during the day, when every place becomes noisy, so I avoid work from 12pm.

In the last week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, the above stated strategy has been helpful. This has been my major source of income since 2020, so I take the work with all seriousness.

Many things have to be put in place to really know the time one spends on steemit for the past week. One has to look at the time one spends in creating a post, the time used while reading through a content created by another user and also the time used in writing a meaningful comment and time spent to vote and resteem posts. Even though one wouldn't be able to really get the perfect hours, it would be something close. 

Talking about last week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, it was more tasking for me than the two weeks that came before it. On each day of last week I made an entry into the engagement challenge, it took me nothing less than 5<sup>1/2</sup>hours to have made each of the five contest I was able to take part. Putting this together, I spent 27<sup>1/2</sup> and created all the entries I made last week. Also, to make a comment, resteem and vote on a user's post, I took nothing less than 10minutes, and read through each of the posts I commented, sometimes voted or resteemed.  I cannot tell the number of posts I commented, voted and resteemed but I will love to put this all together as 3hours (180 minutes) for the whole of last week 
Sometimes, when I check steemit and see a user reply a comment or post by me, I also spend a minute or two to read and reply. I take the total time I spent doing this last week to be 1hour (60 minutes). 

The only way I promote steemit is when I share my success stories with my cousin and some of my friends around and on chat. Several times last week, I had extended discussions with my cousin and even some of my steemit friends on chat, telling him of my posts that were upvoted and the new steemit reward update. I can say, I have spent nothing less than five hours talking to some persons about steemit. 

In total, I spent **36 hours, 30 minutes** on steemit for this engagement challenge last week.

## <center>BENEFITS OF THE STEEMIT ENGAGEMENT CHALLANGE</center>

The benefits of the Steemit Engagement Challenge are stated below. 

- It helps foster friendship among steemit users. 
- It helps one to make a plan for each day and manage time efficiently. 
- It adds more knowledge to users while reading the opinions of other users about a subject. 
- It brings together all the Steemit communitiest to exist as one. 
- It help build creativity in every user. 
For instance, I made the design for Mr. Steem and it came out beautiful. I have not done that in years. I also created a story from a drawing made by artists. 
- It has always provided contests for users to participate.

I suggest that in the coming months, more curators are provided to reward users. Some users have been writing from the first week of the contest and have not been upvoted by the curators. In order not to discourage such users, more curators are needed for better rewards distribution among participants of the challenge.

## <center>CONCLUSION</center>

The Steemit engagement challenge has indeed been engaging. I have spent about approximately seven hours of each steeming. Normally some days, I don't write and I become but since the engagement contest came out, I have always been. It has got me to rack my brain to find something to write. Though it is exhausting, and time consuming but it is at the same time rewarding. 

The Steemit engagement challenge offers many benefits to me in particular. I cannot in any way regret joining the challenge.
