Which of the following is more important or preferable when choosing a business or investment? **Cashflow or Capital gains?**


<h2>Investing for Capital Gains is Like Gambling</h2>

Investing for capital gains is like gambling especially when you don't know what you are doing. If you a savvy investor, this could be a jolly ride. Savvy investors buy into a product when it is still in the infancy. They see the value before the market and media do and they give their funds to the project betting that the project will be successful. If the project is successful they make profit on their investment. They can then take the profits or decide to take both the profits and the capital. If the project is not successful they bear the loss. Investing just for capital gains is cool but there is something wiser. 

<h2>Investing for Cashflow is Wiser</h2>
Cashflow is the amount of cash flowing into or out of a business. Positive cashflow means that the amount of capital moving into a business is higher than the amount of cash moving out of a business.

This is a better way to invest because the investment vehicle generates continuous profits.  In other to make profit from this investment, the investor does not necessarily need to end the investment.

<h2>The Slaugher House and Milking-Barn Analogy</h2>
Investing for capital gains can be likened to a farmer that runs a slaugherhouse. He rears his cattle, spends time making research, buys at a low price and watches over it with the hopes of making a killing. Can you see the parallel between the capital gains investor and the slaughterhouse man?  The problem with making a killing however is that after the “kill”, the investment is dead. You might have made profit but after selling at a profit, there is no possibility for further cashflow or gains because you have killed the goose that lays the egg.

Investing for cashflow is likened to a farmer that runs a milk farm. He buys his cattle and rears them just like the slaugherhouse farmer but when the time comes for him to make profit, he doesn’t have to make a ‘killing’. What he simply does is cash in some profits from the flow and he can continue to cash in the profits. After a while, the farmer would have made back the money he used in buying/managing the cattle and all the future profits can be counted as infinite returns because the amount invested is now zero.

<h2>What kind of investor would would you rather be? A slaugherhouse man, a goosekiller or a cashflow investor?</h2>

Steem is the only cryptocurrency that I know of that can give you cash flow from your investment. Investing in steem by locking it up in steem power will give you capital gains as the network grows and the price of Steem increases. You can also use your Steem to reward content creators, your Steem generates revenue/more Steem. You can lend out your Steem Power and make profits. 

Steem is one of those few cryptocurrencies whose value is not measured by market manipulations, or psychotic and religious dogma but by  true value. The price of steem may fall temporarily, but that don’t bother the users because we have a stable currency that is pegged to the USD: Steem Dollars. When the price of Steem goes up we don't have to kill the investment in Steem(that is power down)  to make profit because we are using the Steem Power to generate cashflow.
