My Fatherland

<center>

Looking through my windows,
With the lenses of imagination,
Present in the oasis of emotion,
Searching with enthusiasm,
With expectation of fulfillment 
All I see are beautiful faces,
Engraved in nature’s space
Old, aging structures,
All around the face of the earth

The sky filtered with dust
While she sees endless wars.
She has beautiful faces, ofcourse
Bearing beauty with tears
Heart filled with sorrow,
Ears bleeding, the radio hurts
And everything....... falling apart!

What cry will she bear?
What will become of her?
When will her people be at peace?
Where are the good old days?
Were there ever good days?
When will her storm be still?
When will her wailing seize to be?
Take a share of the story 
Mere stories to worry
Na like this e go de dey?

Ending here is quite interesting.  Beside, is last verse before ending written in Nigerian creole? I am recently learning Sierra Leonean Krio, and from the similarity comes my question.
