Dr Robert Epstein got called before the United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution on the 16th of June. His testimony needs to be shared far and wide if Big-Tech giants are to be held to account for their censorious, biased and insidious workings on social media platforms and the internet as a whole.

Google can snoop into all aspects of a persons life; it knows where you have been; it knows where you are going. Google knows everything you have searched and deleted on the internet and then it tailors an "advertisement profile" of you. Google uses an "indirect" way of utilising your personal information for "targeted" advertisements; companies pay big money to Google so they can target internet users with specific products and/or services.

Facebook stores information about you based off of things you have "liked". They also know where you have logged in from, at what time and from whatever device you are using at the time. Facebook can also access your webcam and microphone. Everyone has known for some time that Big-Tech companies hold an incredible amount of data on anyone who uses their services. Everyone has known (especially those aligned to the right of the political spectrum) that Big-Tech is censorious by nature and design. Big-Tech wants to control language and behaviour; it directly affects culture and consequentially the politics downwind of it.

Big-Tech has a massive part to play in any country's election cycle, especially given the fact that an enormous percentage of people now rely on the internet and social media for news stories. Hillary Clinton hired the "talents" of Alphabet's <strong>Eric Schmidt</strong> (Alphabet is the parent company of Google and YouTube) for her presidential run, her opponent at the time was Donald Trump of course.

What Dr Robert Epstein found in his research of Google and Facebook is nothing short of alarming, especially when it comes down to influencing democratic elections. Everyone has heard nothing but <strong>"Russian Interference"</strong> in the 2016 presidential election, but is that just a distracting ruse? It appears so.

The biggest influencers of any election are none other than Big-Tech! Forget Russia, forget fake-news, forget paid bots, the real culprits are the giant tech companies who have been left to do whatever they want without restriction or scrutiny. Until recently, that is.

Dr Robert Epstein, a man who identifies himself as a centre-left politically and a Hillary Clinton supporter, found that Google presents a serious threat to democracy and human autonomy. <strong>He found that Google can manipulate the thoughts and behaviour of more than 2.5billion people worldwide and that it has a bias favorability towards the Democrat Party!</strong>

Those are harsh words from a Democrat voter who supported Hillary Clinton during the presidential campaign. At least some of the academic left still have some integrity and love for the democratic process.

Here are some of the shocking findings that Dr Robert Epstein submitted to the United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution:

1. In 2016, biased search results generated by Google's search algorithm likely impacted undecided voters in a way that gave at least <strong>2.6 million votes to Hillary Clinton.</strong>

2. On Election Day in 2018, the "Go Vote" reminder Google displayed on its home page gave one political party between <strong>800,000 and 4.6 million more votes than it gave the other party.</strong>

3. In the weeks leading up to the 2018 election, bias in Google's search results may have shifted upwards of <strong>78.2 million votes to the candidates of one political party.</strong>

Does one wonder what political party that could have been?

4. Google's <strong>"autocomplete"</strong> search suggestions can turn a 50/50 split among undecided voters into a 90/10 split <strong>without people's awareness.</strong>

5. Google has likely been determining the outcomes of upwards of <strong>25 percent of the national elections worldwide since at least 2015.</strong>
