I think this is a Japanese thing, could be an Asian thing, I am not 100% but Japanese people don't like to dirty their hands especially when they eat.
When you go to asian restaurants, BBQ, seafood places in the US sometime they will give gloves because a lot of people just don't want to "get your hands dirty" in and "dig into" it 😅

Same thing for potato chips. Everyone loves potato chips but don't like to get hands dirty.
What would you do?

I kind of like the idea because I don't like using chip clips or I often "forget" to use them.
But I am not sure about the "drinking" part...🙄
