Hi Everyone,

The kids have been on their iPads too much recently so I decided to do something a little different. I started a game of Jenga after breakfast. Baby E was a bit hesitant as he doesn’t like to loose (like all kids) but I encouraged him to give it a go a I haven’t played for ages myself. I remember I used to play board games and Jenga at a dessert cafe in the city after uni with friends and back then I thought I was really good at it. After many years, things have changed of course.

We started off simple with everyone taking their time. Then as we played for 10 minutes, things got a bit serious. We took over a minute or two trying to see which block was best to take out and of course try not to loose. We ended up working up a really high tower. My other half held onto Baby M who wants to try and barge in every second but we want the game to be fair. After 20 minutes, the game ended with Baby E shaking his hand a bit when he was taking out a tile. It was a close match I have to say, my hands were sweaty towards the end.

The day continued with everyone being lazy while the adults were playing games or cleaning the house, the kids were watching Pokemon on TV. They are so into the show it’s getting a bit crazy in my household. I thought I would make a baked pork chop rice to change things up a bit. Since the pandemic, I think most of us have turned into Masterchefs and hatted chefs. We are being more creative and actually try to make the meals we are craving for.
