Can you eat flowers? Recipe with egg - Kann man Blumen essen? Rezept mit Ei

Who eats flowers? You got nothing real in the fridge? Some people may think about that now. 
Since I always like to try new things when cooking, I fried my egg today in a slightly different way. With an edible flower.


First I collect and chop all the ingredients. Add mushrooms, onions and herbs from the Provonce, fresh from the balcony.


First I heat the pan with a dash of oil. Unfortunately the olive oil is out today, so I have to use normal sunflower oil. But I prefer olive oil, for my own taste, which has the oil. 


Next I break the eggs at the edge of the kitchen plate and let them into the hot frying pan. Langasam that the egg has as little surface area as possible, so that I have more thickness and the ingredients also settle in it as soon as the egg white and yolk clot. 


As too early one may not turn the egg now, because otherwise it is still too liquid internally and thus the ingredients would disintegrate with the turn. So you have to wait for the perfect time. 

Today I also put the edible blossom in it while frying and once afterwards to decorate on the plate with basil, also fresh from the balcony. 
Well, after a few minutes it's ready and can be eaten ;-) Bon Apeti !

Wer isst schon Blumen? Hast du nichts richtiges im Kühlschrank ? Das kommt vielleicht dem ein oder anderen jetzt in den Kopf. 
Da ich immer gerne neue Dinge beim Kochen versuche, habe ich heute mein Ei in einer Ewas anderen Weise gebraten. Mit einer essbaren Blume.


Zuerst sammle und hacke ich alle Zutaten klein. Dazu kommen noch Pilze, Zwiebeln und Kräuter der Provonce, frisch aus dem Balkon.


Als erstes erhitze ich die Pfanne mit einem Schuss Öl. Leider ist heute das Olivenöl aus, daher muss ich normales Sonnenblumenöl benutzen. Ich bevorzuge aber Olivenöl, für den eigenen Geschmack, welches das Öl hat. 


Als nächstes schlage ich die Eier an der Küchenplattenkante auf und lasse sie in die heiße Bratpfanne. Langasam, dass das Ei wenig Fläche wie möglich verläuft, damit ich mehr Dicke habe und die Zutaten auch darin sich dann festsetzen, sobald das Eiweis und Eigelb gerinnt. 


Als zu früh darf man nun das Ei nicht wenden, da sonst es innerlich noch zu flüssig ist und somit die Zutaten beim wenden zerfallen würden. Man muss also den perfekten Zeitpunkt abwarten. 

Ich habe heute ebenso einmal die essbare Blüte beim Braten hinein getan und einmal danach zum verzieren auf dem Teller mit Basilikum, ebenfalls frisch vom Balkon. 
Nun, nach ein paar Minuten ist es fertig und kann gegessen werden ;-) Bon Apeti !

Das sieht mega lecker aus. Leider haben wir hier in der Dom Rep nicht so viel Esskultur wie du da an den Tag lässt und meine Frau oder auch Schwiegermutter lassen mich nicht in die Küche. Ich könne ja eh nicht kochen... Na ja für die fettigen Dinger die sie brutzeln würds vermutlich auch noch reichen, haha

Klar, Ideen braucht der Mensch. Bei meiner Frau stehen derzeit die Blüten der Kornblume für den Salat hoch im Kurs. Es gibt so viele Blüten die man essen kann und wenn es nur ein Gänseblümchen ist :-)
