<b>I am a bit late to this initiative by @theycallmedan, but it has been one hell of a week here on the platform. This time last week, I was sitting where I am now, trying to digest what I was reading about the Steem Hostile Take Over. My first reaction was to panic, I mean what would this mean for the platform, for the community.</b> 

The goal was always to be a decentralized platform, but now we had one man come in and make our community very centralized. In those first few moments, I was sure it was the end of the platform as we knew it. But this is exactly what happens when we panic, all logical thinking goes out the window and we let the fear take over and assume the worst is about to happen. 


>After a few deep breath's and a walk outside, I calmed down and quickly realized that our community is very passionate about this platform, that so many many of us have created such wonderful tribes and connections on here and that what we had achieved was a reflection of what we desired off line.

<b>There was no doubt in my mind then, that we would find a way to move forward.</b> 

Of course we are many and we all have different ideas, different opinions about how things should operate, but we all want to see this platform succeed, that is the one thing we all have in common. 

Over the next few days, I saw so many people rally together to find ways in which we could as a community get our version of events out into the cyrpto world, what a noise we made and continue to make. 

<b>There are some who do not agree with how that noise came about, but regardless of that, you can't help but be impressed by the strength we all shown, the commitment, the passion for our wonderful platform. </b>

We have created so many wonderful things on here, we have shared, learned and grown so much together.

I have been on here for over 2 and a half years now, posting content almost everyday, I was here when cyrpto rocketed and then when it dropped again. It was great when Steem Dollars went up to 8 dollars a piece, I would have loved to have invested it back into the platform, but it created such a wonderful income for me and I was able to travel to see my family and take my girls with me. 

>I live very simply, in my house truck with my girls and I have created a lifestyle where we do not need much money in order to survive. But that does not mean that I do not welcome it when it appears. I would be lying if I said that I have no interest in the financial gain that comes with Steemit, because I do. I see this platform as an amazing opportunity to invest in my future, to continue to live autonomously.  

But that is not the main reason I have stayed. I have stayed for the people. For this wonderful global community that is stretched right around the world. For the many opportunities that it has given me, to know first hand what is happening in those different countries. To connect with and create those wonderful bonds that are all about supporting and empowering one another. 

<b>The many communities that are in here, the ones that have been here since I started, they made me feel so at home and introduced me to people that are quite literally,  like family to me. There is no way I could walk away from them. </b>

Finding @ecotrain and @tribesteemup, felt like I was coming home. To be engaging with such a diverse and conscious group of folk, has really thought me so much, about myself, about others and about how important it is in life to find your tribe and that when you do, you stick by them.

>I feel so blessed to have connected with these group of awesome people, that share the same values as me and that live in a way that is all about being in harmony with the earth. On top of that   we are spread out around the world, living by the same values we hold so dear. 

<b>And that has just continued to grow, because I have continued to meet and connect with people who are all about changing the world, through their art, through their knowledge. Everyone who is on here, is a part of that, a part of that vision to create a better world. A world where we are taking back control of our own lives and empowering one another along the way, as we share all that we have learnt, all that we are learning. </b>


My knowledge on natural health, on economics, on crypto, on community empowerment, on the arts, it continues to grow every single day. I am empowering myself every day, by engaging with this platform. It has become a second home to me, where I have shared so much of myself and where I have been supported so well by so many awesome people on here. 

<i>This last week, seeing almost everyone come together, to stand united for this platform has been pretty awesome and so inspiring. </i>

<b>I know there is still some disagreements, but hey it really won't be real, if there wasn't. And here's the thing we are here representing the many different parts of the world. We are such a diverse group of people, from all walks of life and with so many different morals and ideals and in the end that is what makes this platform so great. That is why I am still here, because We still have so much more to learn from one another and I am not turning my back, on my community. I am here for the long haul. </b>
