This is amazing.  A window like that could really help with energy bills.  By turning darker the more light that is on it, this could help to keep the inside cooler during peak sun hours.

I am really excited about how technologies like these are really going to change our use of energy.  We can see radical reductions simply by implementing more things like this.

This is awesome! Electrochromic film changes everything. It can be too bright when you place non-tinted windows when sunny. It can also be too dark when you place tinted windows on a cloudy or dim day. It's amazing that this windows can automatically change the opacity of its film or manually change it with their mobile app. Cool hunt!

I can say this is a very practical thing. Me for example I dont like curtains but on the other hand I dont like to much sun entering the room when is hot. So this is just the thing. And the app is a great pro. Hope that the price tag will be OK as well.

Even though the sun is our natural source of light, it should be noted that the heat from the sun is very very harsh sometimes and could have dramatic effect on our skin, especially those that live in a place that is very close to the heat with bad or no window.
With this window your eyes and skin can be protected from direct sunlight or heat.
