My wife and daughter concluded, my mom is afraid of me.

Kids I threatened in elementary school, teachers I threatened and got away with. Maybe she wonders how I got away with it and would I threaten her too, one day. 

Dad's gone. His last thoughts to me were, 'do the best you can.' I don't remember being a threat...to classmates, teachers, family. But who remembers anything, before the age of three? Besides I was the same size as her, by the time I was four. 

Maybe they should all be afraid.
