We visited the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Santuary today prior to leaving Sandakan. Sandakan is known as the Nature City, we could see the monkeys moving freely in the open area. And that is a reflection of nature. The tourists and visitors are attracted to look at the Macaque monkeys, and also a rare species, the Proboscis monkeys. 

We can lose a lot of what is natural due to the so-called modern development. Although development is necessary to enhance communication, convenience etc, it should not be at the expense of the blue sky, fresh air, green trees and different species of animals. 

Therefore, it is my pleasure to see the blue sky, green trees and monkeys moving freely at the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Santuary. If we lose the nature, and when everything we see is man-made product, we may also lose sight of what is behind the nature. Indeed, we cannot create the nature although we can manufacture many things by using the natural resources. We should not take pride of human achievement such as the many inventions. And the visible nature does remind us that there is the Creator, without whom there is no way for us to invent and manufacture. The preservation of nature does help us to appreciate nature, the beautiful creation, and also to humble ourselves for our limitations. As we think of human achievement, we should acknowledge that without the beautiful creation, we would have zero opportunity to discover, invent and manufacture anything. 

在离开山打根之前，我们今天参观了拉卜湾长鼻猴保护区。山打根被称为自然城市，我们看到了猴子在露天的地方自由走动，这也是大自然的反映。而猴子即包括稀有的长鼻猴的确吸引了不少游客。

由于所谓的现代发展，我们会失去很多自然的东西。虽然发展可以加强资讯传播和带来不少的便利等，但却不应该是以牺牲了蓝天，新鲜空气，绿树和不同种类的动物为代价。

我个人很高兴看到蓝天，绿树和猴羣在拉卜湾长自由活动。假如我们失去了自然，我们看到的一切都是人造产品，我们也很容易忽略了自然界背后的范畴。实际上，尽管我们可以通过使用天然资源制造许多东西，但我们却无法创造自然。我们不应该为许多的发明和成就便感到骄傲 ；因为可见的自然确实可以提醒我们造物主的存在，没有祂 - 我们就没有办法发明和制造。保护大自然确实有助于我们欣赏自然 - 美丽的创造，也促使我们要因为人的局限而谦卑自己。当我们想到人类的成就时，我们应该承认：如果没有美丽的创造，我们就没有机会去发现，发明和制造任何东西。
