It is common to find people owning pets nowadays. And among the different animals, it is quite common to have dog and cat as pets. There are people who argue about the pros and cons of owning pets. 

It is said having an animal pet at home can be good for health such as decreasing stress, lower blood pressure etc. However, there are also risks of having animal pet as it may spread disease, carrying parasites etc. 

Indeed, there are advantages and risks for owning a pet. Nevertheless, the people having a pet must learn to care for the pet. Though the value of a pet should not rise above any human being, the pet has to be treated well. There should not be animal abuse. And exploitation that may cause animal extinction should be forbidden. 

今日社会有不少拥有宠物的人。在 众多宠物爱好者，其中比较容易遇到爰護狗和猫的人，当然也会有人谈论拥有宠物的利弊。

据说在家中饲养动物宠物可以有益于健康，例如减轻压力、降低血压等。但是，也有动物宠物可能会传播疾病、携带寄生虫等风险。

事实上，拥有宠物的确有利弊；必竟滋養宠物的人必须学会照顾动物。虽然我们不应该视宠物的价值超过人，但宠物必须得到良好的保护和照顾，不应该有虐畜，而导致动物灭绝的行径更要被禁止。
