_**Once again the mighty @starkerz and @anarcotech will be representing @oracle-d and Steem at a major cryptocurrency conference - this time the South East Asia Blockchain Summit 2018 in Jakarta, Indonesia.**_

The summit takes place on the 3rd and 4th of November at the Sultan Hotel and features over 60 quality speakers spanning a range of topics and fields that center on the blockchain industry. 

Speakers include the co-founder of BTCC and a member of [Bitcoin Foundation](https://bitcoinfoundation.org/), Bobby Lee, Dr. Julian Hoop, the co-founder of [TenX](https://steempeak.com/tenx/@ura-soul/otaeoul-tenx-is-a-payment-service-connecting-together-crypto-currencies-and-offering-debit-cards-to-use-crypto-everywhere-almos), the CEO of MAX, Alex Liu and Daniel Chang, the CMO of [Cobinhood](https://cobinhood.com). Other speakers that will grace the event include Maksim Balashevich of Santiment, Danny Baskara, the founder of [VEXANIUM](https://www.vexanium.com), John Yeh, the founder of iDrip and Chairman of TeSA, and Matt Starkey & Dylan Leighton, Co-Founders of Steem's [Oracle-D](http://oracle-d.com).

It seems that Indonesia and it's government have greatly embraced the potential and benefits of blockchain technology - so kudos to them for their forward thinking and their rejection of the limited thinking that the operators of the world's legacy systems like to spread to stifle change!

This event has been described as the biggest conference ever held in Indonesia and expects over 1000 attendees! A wide variety of sectors and industries will be represented, including manufacturing, retail, financial services, legal, healthcare, insurance, energy, music, government & real estate.

Alongside a variety of topics being covered regarding cryptocurrency applications, advice for startups, possibly regulatory issues and many others - the Oracle-D team will be spreading the word about their 'Multi-Proof-of-Brain' concept - demonstrating how Steem is being used to reward volunteers in ways that benefit both individuals and businesses simultaneously.

I recognised some of the names and projects right away, but some are new to me. 

I know that [Santiment](https://santiment.net/) is a cryptocurrency data resource system and a token too. They provide insights into crypto tokens and projects with the intention of helping us make better decisions when working with crypto tokens and blockchain technology. I had seen this listed on Bitfinex over a year ago and wondered what they would offer and I can see that their site is now live and offers a variety of tools. They have a nice list of tokens that might replace Coin Market Cap, alongside tools to view market signals and general sentiment online regarding different tokens. Pretty cool! I can see Santiment listed on the press release, but not on the main event website - but hopefully they will be there somewhere.

Johnny Lee, co-founder of the BTCC crypto exchanges in Asia is speaking, giving a talk titled 'How is Bitcoin a New Ownership Model?'. I have no idea what that will be about and there are no clues being given in advance! :)

Daniel Chang, CSO at [Cobinhood](https://cobinhood.com), the no-fee cryptocurrency exchange that I reviewed recently - will be speaking alongside @starkerz and @anarcotech for a spot titled 'Create Blockchain Framework for utlizing your organization' - I presume that this will be about how to integrate blockchain into existing organisations and business structures.

Plus speakers from Wanchain and Quoine will be there too - I'll be covering these two interesting blockchin projects in posts coming soon!
