# <center> An engineer from Booz Allen Hamilton stored sensitive NGA geo-spatial intelligence data on Amazon's S3 bucket Cloud system. </center>

The tech website Arstechnica originally posted an article that reported Top Secret intelligence was discovered on the system by a risk management analyst from Upguard. The website has since been in contact with a Booz Allen Spokesman who stated that none of the information was classified material, however certain 'credentials' in the data set may have allowed access to more sensitive material.

The NGA provides geospatial intelligence to US military forces including satellite data and drone surveillance imagery.

The NGA responded quickly to the potential security threat identified by Upguard analyst, Vickery, after he had not received an immediate response from Booz Allen. The NGA managed to remove the threat in less than 10 minutes. Government contractor Booz Allen did eventually respond to the issue almost 24 hrs after the threat had been discovered raising concerns about the contractor's recent record which includes: Edward Snowden's revelations and Hal Martin's cache of NSA files discovered in his possession.

It's interesting to note that Amazon won a $600 million dollar contract to supply cloud services to the CIA. The CIA is convinced that the cloud system is safe and says it's intent on keeping up with the latest technological innovations. However, the information presented above does cast doubt on the security of the data stored on the system. In addition, the Vault 7 leaks recently disclosed by Wikileaks shows that the CIA is incapable of protecting and containing their cyber arsenal.
