# 'Are you a true audiophile?'

### **Back in the day, say some fifty or sixty years ago one would need this huge piece of furniture if wanted to be considered a true audiophile. It is a sound system with all available audio players of the time. Funny how massive it is, right?**

In the middle, there is a radio with all available wavelengths. Short, middle and long. Manual tuning, of course, there wasn't automatic back then.

On the left, a reel-to-reel deck, I believe. I'm not sure if that's the proper term, really. I think this can also record sound.

The right side is reserved for a turntable. These are very much in again, one can buy them online and enjoy all the old records.

Yes this is 2 in 1. Sound system with a beautiful furniture piece. Very decorated and well furnished. Looming so nice and old is always gold. The Grundig is good brand of germany. I like it very much. You bring an old piece for steemians. That is great idea.

I love these rare things. They have a soul and something attractive. It's amazing how fast technological progress is developing. Earlier we could not take the headphones and want to walk down the street and listen to music. However, modern people have much more opportunities to listen to any music from anywhere. In the house of my parents some old radio receivers are still preserved. I know people who are engaged in collecting such things. They claim that in the future such radios or radio tape recorders will have a high price. Anyway, all that today we consider modern - tomorrow will be obsolete. But alas, modern things are not as durable as they used to be ...
