The street child 
Didn't beg to be born
But begs to survive on crumps

"No mind am e don chop winsh"
and truely looks like one, 
Hasn't showered in days 
Would rather drink the water than waste it on the body 

Might have eloped from the orphanage 
Or ran away from a wicked stepmother 
Might have snuck out of the house to avoid being a rape victim
Or be deliberatly thrown out of the house cuz of a broken plate 

You might have tried to reach out only to find out that they are uncultured 
One moment they are in sorrow begging for crumps
and the next they are laughing and mocking at you. 

Nonetheless they need help 
It's International day for the street child 
They may not have a clue today is for them but you could imprint a touch of love.
