**Google's cybersecurity division, created last January, *Chronicle* announces VirusTotal Enterprise: a malware detection and protection service. Inherited from the VirusTotal acquisition in 2012, this offer benefits from the most recent improvements of the Mountain View company in terms of graphical interface and speed of scan.**

Nearly 8 months after the [creation of **Chronicle**](https://www.lemondeinformatique.fr/actualites/lire-alphabet-cree-chronicle-une-entite-dediee-a-la-cybersecurite-70679.html), the cybersecurity division created Google had just announced the fruit of its efforts. In this case it's **VirusTotal Enterprise**, an improved version of the VirusTotal service [acquired 6 years ago](https://www.forbes.com/consent/?toURL=https://www.forbes.com/sites/ericsavitz/2012/09/07/google-buys-virustotal/) to satisfy the detection needs, the fight and protection against malware.

The company is specially advancing a speed of search for new malware **"multiplied by 100"** compared to the free version.

In practice, VirusTotal Enterprise will offer users the ability to search for existing/future malware samples and to analyze their links with each other, respectively with **VT Intelligence, VT Hunt with YARA** and **VT Graph technologies.** Chronicle conjointly guarantees to make life easier for managers and security managers by enabling them to automate these tasks through its API.

Chronicle is far from being the only actor positioned on the "security investigation" field. It’s also the case for **Cisco, Brainwave, DarkTrace, F-Secure** and **ThreatQuotient.**
