You must record and film your song A Capella - No Music.
This is a simple rule for all contestants to follow, as it ensures that contestants are not judged on quality of equipment, or tassles... but soley on just the vocals.
This gives steemians opportunity to engage and connect with a singers natural voice and connect with the rawness of individual vocal ability.

Contestants entries must be a NEW live video performance (Phone quality is recommended), singing in natural A Capella.

You may sing any song you like - without music.
Choose between singing a cover or an original song.
As the contest progresses and numbers grow, rules and processes may change with plans to expand and get creative with new ways of challenging contestants and entertaining voters.
For example, sometime in the future there may be extra conditions incorporated such as song choices being more specific or themed. Singers may also be asked to provide their own backing music - which means individuals will also be allowed to play their own instruments or have instrumentalists play backing music for them - 
ONLY IF THE RULES SPECIFICALLY STATE IT, 
otherwise -
follow the rules numbered above as they are the base set of rules that apply for each weeks contest - UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED.
