## Today means...

"Keep your head up in the sky" sang ?_(No, not Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind and Fire or Jadakiss)_.
"I do, I do, I do, I do", [sang Abba](https://youtu.be/AQ21CLUQf0E).

Those words, this medley, is repeating itself in my head and I do. I am still in bed. My neck aches but it is the only way to breath a bit through my nose.
I am not able to set a step but my nose is running and my immune system is running even faster. It is a real champ, no one on earth is faster or more active as it is.

**The allergies are back and no antihistamine in the world can stop it.**
I know it, my kid knows, only doctors seem to know better. Those who not suffer from it and really think that once the allergies started and you neeze and sniff already for over 12 hours one miserable tablet works.

> Of course doctors know it does not, so do nurses. It is what they call the placebo effect. Just give a tablet and the patient feels better.

**Not this one.**
This patient has over 50 years experiences and that is way longer as any doctor or nurse has. This patient also is familiar with the different antihistamine groups and knows medication like these only work if you take it before the allergies starts and for months and months and months (till your system fight them too).

**Today I keep my head up in the sky as much as possible and ignore the pain in my neck and teary eyes.**
I will find a way to drink and walk without bumping into the furniture and walls. I will take more tablets, some alcohol to wide the bloodvains and stuff my leaking nose and hope for the best.

> The best is this is not changing into a flu _(it is what allergies do)_, I will _not_ have to fight fever for days _(some fever attacks a day is already bad enough)_ and will _not_ end up in hospital again.

**The day of surviving and ignoring is what today means to me.**
I a flash, a good moment, I had the idea to take a break elsewhere. Here or across the border. Stay somewhere where they have descent internet and a shop selling fresh fruit and vegetables.
