Every one of us will often have disagreements over certain things with people close to us, not to mention the strangers who grew up in different countries, ethnic and cultural backgrounds and are far away in physical space.

Human beings have always believed that they are the center of the universe, the dominant power, unique existence, until the Heliocentric theory proof that the Earth is not the center of the universe. Humans think of themselves as masters of all things, until the “On the Origin of Species” says that humans evolved from apes. Such "heresy" has been digested for a long time, but humans feel that they have noble souls, morals, and ideals.

Later on, Freud's theory says that humans are just like other animals, have all kinds of barbaric, beastly, dirty ideas, but these sides are sealed by our human ethics, social customs, and legal systems, and those animal thoughts are stored in our subconscious.

These theories and doctrines, up to the recent development of modern biology, have been slowly pulling humans from the anthropocentrism of human beings with serious narcissism, and we humans realize that we are not much different from other animals.

When we experience happiness, we will consider ourselves to be the happiest people in the world, and we will think of ourselves as the most miserable people in the world when we experience hardships. In fact, we think that there is always a spotlight on the head of each of us, everyone around is watching us, but in fact, the people who concern about us are only our family and friends. People who are irrelevant to us have no time to pay attention to us.

There are still fewer groups of people experiencing major suffering in the world, and the small problems we experience in our daily lives are simply not worth mentioning compared to those who are experiencing major natural disasters and wars.

Of course, human narcissism also has its advantages, this makes humans become the top on Earth's biological food chain, promoting the development of human world civilization, our human footprint has reached other planets, and also preparing immigration program to Mars.

The higher the degree of narcissism, the higher the attention to the ego.

People who have grown up in the same geographical and cultural context have accepted all the traditional cultures and customs of the locality, and until they leave their place of birth and begin a new life in other places. They take it for granted that all the local traditions, morals and customs are the same. There is no problem to take these things out and socialize with outsiders. What you see is necessarily what others see, and what you identify with is necessarily the same as others. 

But when you really went out to other places, to make friends with outsiders, only to find many of your own words and deeds inside, makes people feel uncomfortable, others are unwilling to associate with it. Then you will reflect yourself, why people here do not like you, everywhere you go it’s wrong.

Later, after staying at the foreign place for a long time, people will slowly understand that the customs from home do not apply to this place and the people and things, the way people here look at the world and the people from your home is a lot of difference.

Recently, a website reported that there are still people believes that the "Earth is Flat" theory, they believe that the earth is not round, but flat, floating in the universe with a pancake form. The people who believed were civil servants, NBA stars, and even former NASA engineers. They think that the government hides the truth from the people, the scientists are blinded, the public is fooled, and only them are sober.

You can't convince them of these "Flat Earth" believers.

The way artists look at the world is very different from the rest of us, which is one of the major reasons why people who have not learned the art and have no knowledge of the art background are unable to read the artist's work, and the creation of some artists may also be distant from our time.

To understand their works, we must understand their unique way of seeing the world, their age background, their personal family background, life experience and so on.

Van Gogh's paintings, "The Potato Eater" and "The Gleaners", depict the plight of lowest ranks of rural society, a depressing and tragic visual sensation, which stems from his former missionary in Borinazhi, Belgium, a coal-mining district in Belgium, where Van Gogh had close contact with the miners at the bottom. 

He went down with the miners to the mine in the dark, to experience the helplessness and fear of the miners while preaching and trying to help the miners in life. Here, he deeply realized the miserable life of the people at the bottom. 

"The Starry Night" and "Sunflowers" are created from natural scenery in the south of France to the small city. Van Gogh's creative theme is these two major themes, which is close to his own spiritual home of theme creation.

Because he grew up in a cold small town in Holland, the heart of the sun is full of expectations and yearning, so the sun and bright color preference, he in the screen with pure bright colors show strong feelings, formed his own unique style.

The way each of us sees the world is limited by geography, culture, family background, life experience, knowledge structure, times background, values and so on, it is not easy to read a person completely.

When other people idea is different, we should not be anxious to deny it, but analyze it from their standpoint, why the other party will hold such a concept, so as to reduce the occurrence of conflict.
