Hello, my name is Wes and I am new to Steemit. I read about Steemit a while back on some random forum I was browsing through and I thought it would be interesting to try it. So here I am. I am a programmer for a small independent video game studio that I really can't talk about. I started playing video games when I turned three years old and received a Nintendo Entertainment System from my parents. Every since then, I've spent a decent amount of my spare time playing.

I also enjoy being outside and exploring nature. To me, there's nothing like being able to take in the beauty of nature and appreciate it for what it is. It feels so good to be out in the woods with the sounds of wildlife all around you. If you're real quiet and attentive, you can witness all sorts of great things that we don't have the opportunity to in our regular lives.  I've been fortunate enough to stand within twenty yards of a few deer without scaring them off. It was such a great thing to stand there and watch as they made their way through the woods.  As it is right now, I don't feel like I am able to get out and see as much of the wilderness as I would like, but maybe someday I'll have more time to explore. 

I'm still not sure what I expect to get out of Steemit. Maybe it'll be a good place for me to write about my adventures. Maybe I'll have a lot of fun learning new things and interacting with people. I guess I'll just see how it goes. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it.
