<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;village Bawömataluo known to survive the earthquake that hit the island of Nias in 2005, the houses of this village built without using iron or brick as a foundation, they use a pole timber and all the floors and walls in the house was made from wood. the biggest house is 200 years old and still standing up until now.</p>

<p>the reason these old building have high resistance against earth quake is Ndriwa technique, the structural of the house using ndriwa technique is unique and the only one that resistance against earthquake according to book " Traditional Architecture of Nias Island " and currently under research from japan university. and maybe in near future this would be a concept to building a house in area with high rate of earthquake like japan</p>
