Hello friends here @Windermarin

**This wonderful biblical quote is a promise from God for all who believe in Him. This is one of the great promises of the bible.**

***But let's see a bit of history.***

**Why did God tell Jeremiah to cry? Where was Jeremiah when God gives him this promise?**

**For forty years, the prophet Jeremiah had warned that Judah and Jerusalem would be destroyed for their sins, and now the armies of Babylon were in the wall of the city.**

![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmPyreCqZJa89XfbMrtcU4ePaqbBbaTwgq33e7fstvLhVc/image.png)

**In [Jeremiah 32: 2.5](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jerem%C3%ADas+32%3A2&version=RVR1960) we read that Jeremiah was imprisoned because King Zedekiah was upset because he had prophesied words that did not favor him; the city would be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon and he would not escape from the hands of the Chaldeans.**

**It was precisely in that dark and evil time, when Jeremiah was imprisoned, that God comes to his servant with words of encouragement.**

![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXK1yp8Mb9PpXwAi5ByBMboZqydfCPEhLVzfKueLB3mi7/image.png)

##
Now, let's see what is to cry ?:

* To cry is to moan, to be afflicted, to beg.

* The dictionary says "Complain about asking for help".

* Clamar comes from the Hebrew word CarΓ‘, which means to harass a person, to insist without desisting.

**In a few words God told Jeremiah, cry to me, be afflicted before me, moan before me, insist without desisting before me, and I will answer you; and not only will I answer you, but I will also teach you great things, and things that are hidden from you, and that you do not even imagine knowing.**

**This is a living promise, it is a transcendental promise, it is a promise for you and for me even in these times.**

*The Lord tells us: cry out of your heart for your needs, for your family, for your city and for your people, do it believing because I will answer you.*

![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmTGnGuH7ch2UQQc7HyPPUywPi5HHX8x11NGLnUM1gLQiN/image.png)

##
Who do we have to cry?

**To Jehovah of armies. Cry only to Him, cry only to God, insist only to God is the only one that can give us that peace.**

**God wants us to call on Him alone, not the boss, not the institution, not the government, but only HIM.**

![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmaA3hjy26h5koKGZjE95izXAAonVouZRCAM69wb9pjXET/image.png)
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmci7UcTfQ6PHtSJXf6AvyXKwS5KZHUmJANaRYvNP32bZu/image.png)
## Now let's look at four (4) things that should encourage us to cry out to God:

* God tells us, he gives us his word that "He will answer us"

Β The answer will come and God wants you to recognize who was the one who answered you.

[Psalm 91:15](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Salmos+91%3A15&version=RVR1960) "He will call on me, and I will answer him; with him I will be in anguish; I will free him and glorify him.

![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNoVpeMFtperdwMWMXRXz6YbSfbE6wmB7U2pSTiYExicZ/image.png)

* [Jeremiah 33: 2](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jerem%C3%ADas+33%3A2&version=RVR1960) "Thus says the LORD, who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to affirm it; Jehovah is his name "

This verse begins by teaching who is the main author of the promise.

The author is the eternal one, the one who made the earth, the Almighty. He who made all the details of the universe, including our lives and what he continues to do.

Β [Jeremiah 32:17](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jerem%C3%ADas+33%3A17&version=RVR1960) "Oh Lord Jehovah! behold, you have made heaven and earth with your great power, and with your outstretched arm, nor is there anything that is difficult for you. "

So if there is something that should motivate us every day to cry out to God, it is that He is capable of responding to our cry.

![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNoVpeMFtperdwMWMXRXz6YbSfbE6wmB7U2pSTiYExicZ/image.png)

* The testimonies of those who cried out and God answered them, because that is what God promised us.

![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNoVpeMFtperdwMWMXRXz6YbSfbE6wmB7U2pSTiYExicZ/image.png)

* He promises, to teach you big and hidden things that we do not know.

![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNoVpeMFtperdwMWMXRXz6YbSfbE6wmB7U2pSTiYExicZ/image.png)

##
**Brother, in every circumstance, in every moment Trust in God! Look to your Redeemer and wait on Him and He will do!**

## [Psalm 22:24](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=+Salmos+22%3A24&version=RVR1960) "For he did not despise or abhor the affliction of the afflicted, nor did he hide his face from him; But when he cried to him, he heard."

Β ## [Psalm 34: 6](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Salmos+34%3A6&version=RVR1960) "This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and delivered him out of all his troubles."

@barncat ·
It's ridiculous to quote just that one verse. Look at more of the passage:

(Jeremiah 33:1-6 NIV) While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, the word of the LORD came to him a second time: {2} "This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it--the LORD is his name: {3} 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' {4} For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says about the houses in this city and the royal palaces of Judah that have been torn down to be used against the siege ramps and the sword {5} in the fight with the Babylonians : 'They will be filled with the dead bodies of the men I will slay in my anger and wrath. I will hide my face from this city because of all its wickedness. {6} "'Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.

God was talking to Jeremiah the prophet. God hasn't made that promise to Christians.
