# What are markdowns
Markdowns is the standardization of styling text or post on steemit. The act of adding font, spacing, fixness, approximate arrange of images and headlines using code or abbreviations understood by the article creator. 
Create content by applying at least 5 types of markdown provided in the above section.
 ## Example of markdown
I will give examples of markdowns I do use and other I believe are the most important ones and are necessary for use to make a quality content attractive.

(i)  I'm going to start with the use of link in post and how to source to avoid plagiarism. 
* To Tag a user on steemit all you have to do is  add @ to the username of the user. @wireless07 
* To indicate that you copy a sentence the right mark down to use is just to put > before the sentence it will indicate that the sentence don't not belong to you. 
>A post needs to be nicely formatted to be able to be read easily.
 * To source a post you copy, you source it by using [ ]( ). Input source in the first and input the link in the second bracket.
