<p>Anthrax is a Trash Metal band from were formed in 1981, New York, US, Anthrax was formed in 1981 by guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker, Anthrax was credited as one of the "big four" thrash metal bands, along with Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax.</p>

<p>Anthrax almost like Metallica or Megadeth, Anthrax is responsible for the rise of speed and thrash metal. Combining the speed and anger of hardcore punk with guitars and prominent vocals from heavy metal, they helped create a new subgenre of heavy metal on their first album. Original guitarists Scott Ian and Dan Spitz are a tough pair, spouting lightning-fast riffs and solos that never seem to mastubate. Unlike Metallica or Megadeth, they have a good sense to dampen their music often seriously with a healthy dose of humor and realism.</p>
