When you promote a post, you spend some SBD and it gets shown on the promoted tab in steemit. Do you see the top bar with Trending, New, Hot, and then Promoted? Have you ever checked out promoted? Thats where all the promoted posts go, the promoted tab. Nobody ever checks it though. The SBD that you spend to promote it gets burned. Its not worth it because all the promoted posts are shown in one page and nobody ever goes to that page. If you want your post seen by others, bidbot it to trending, don't use promote.

Well, I can only tell you from experience. You see, when you promote your post as I have done before, nothing exactly special happens because those that receive them are not worthy of doing something as it is in the promoted section. People don't normally check in that section but if you boost, you may be advantaged or not. What boosting does is to give you bots to upvote you to a certain amount and based on what you pay and after everything, those same bots will still gain curators reward making them win on two phase while you lose in a way so for me, fuck them mehn, they are not worth it.
